Or the hubby ran off and dumped you with the cat? Or perhaps the cat ran the hubby off as it's very territorial and didn't like to share? Or well....lots of possibilities here.

When I get down to San Diego I'm going to be sure to check under all the bridges I see as I suspect you'd be fun knowing. If I end up headed South instead of North, and that's anyone's guess at this juncture.

Thomas
uhoh--no hubby for over.....well, since 1994 when i told him to stop stalking me...moved to sin diego in 1995.

I've always liked SD. I used to go down there a couple times a year for Board meetings. Nice town, but too big for my taste. I much prefer our small towns in the PNW.

Walking into the "room" mid conversation... saying hello, and hoping some of you will reach out especially those from Norcal (San Fran area).

it is all good, except when it's not. So, Jhchoate introduce yourself so we know who we're talking to! Don't be shy, we're all just your run of the mill pirates here.

As for me, I depart in the morning for overly expensive and very over taxed California to pick up my boat and sail it back here to God's country. Weather is looking good, the $4,000 quote from the dealer to fix the engine turned out to cost me $250 from an independent (and honest) mechanic! Good sign I hope. (Anyone needing a excellent diesel guy in the Bay area, I have THE MAN. He did very well by me.

Regards,

Thomas

Your wish is my....

Thanks for the warm welcome. zeehag, love to stay in touch and get to know you. I am in SD all the time (once a month or so), can I look you up?

Yaghts66, more about me. My passion for sailing started as a kid when my dad rigged a 13 foot zodiak and we would sail it (sort of) down the russian river. Ofcourse the only times fit for sailing were in storms, so.... yeah people almost died. But, the bug began. After a career in TV, I met a captain... he said "thaz my bot" (sounded just like that), and I jumped onboard literally packed it all up and moved to Cozumel, MX for a glorious two years of a charter sailing (47 foot formosa) and scuba diving business. Hurricanes in 2005 and a daughter who was home sick brought us back to CA. I can't help it, I am trying to put myself in the middle of the "scene" just hoping I can jump on board for some much needed and adored passion. Cute, athletic, hard working, self supporting and eager to share resources and barder!!

Engine repair... watching the islanders fix/rebuild their boats together after the hurricanes with no money one at a time took my breath away.

The more posts you make the more stars you get....kinda like in grade school me thinks. I have friends spending their summers in the Sea of Cortez. It takes all kinds I guess. Personally, I'd spend my winters down in Mexico and my summers in the PNW or Alaska, but I guess I'm just weird that way. Gotta scoot, long drive facing me.

Regards,

Thomas
