Re: Post the Worst "For Sale" Picture You've Seen.

I guess the funniest thing to me is that the seller is asking $15k for that piece of junk. Seriously? You would have to pay me, to get me to take it off of your hands. It is a '91 Beneteau 370, and fixing it will cost several times the value of one in pristine condition. Before long that boat is going to go to the scrap yard, and whoever has their name on the title at the time is going to have to pay to get it there.

Of course, as they say, there's one born every minute. Maybe the seller will get lucky and find someone who is dumb enough to pay him for that thing. And then that person will probably come onto the forum here and talk about the great deal they got on a fixer-upper boat, and want to know if anyone can give them a few tips on fiberglass work.

Don't have a link, but it was on sailboatlistings.com under the state of Texas.

The keel's worth a packet, so's the mast and engine, gearbox etc... and that oven's a Force10!

That's because when I asked the sellers for a few more detailed shots, they sent me a CD with over 450 of them. These included the entire restoration process, as well as a 5-second time-lapse of them raising and lowering her folding mast.

That's the difference between a pro and an amateur, and why you usually get what you paid for more often with the latter...
That is a very cool looking boat. Nice!

Well it seems that the boating industry is not the only industry to suffer from "Photo Fail Syndrome! Here is a great website.

Re: Post the Worst "For Sale" Picture You've Seen.

You can just use the little paperclip at the centre top of the post reply page and attach it

Alternatively load it up to dropbox and post it using the link button just below and to the left of the paperclip with the small piece of chain

I'm sure they'll eventually change the pic, but here's what a 1968 Pearson 35 looks like at the moment:
