What a nice refreshing comment.
...
So why would you sneak around and make life more difficult for those that follow in your wake. There are plenty of beautiful places in the world that will embrace having you beautiful boat moored off their beach while you enjoy a few drinks/food/relaxation time at the pool. Just make sure they know your there and you no longer have to worry about being caught and ruining someone else's day.
Well said. Plus I think some are underestimating the staff's ability to know who from whom. I'd rather risk a "no" than the embarrassment of being asked to leave. The "coincidental " beach towel bit is clever tho. Paying guests always leave them on the beach.

I've heard a hundred good ol days stories of cruisers anchoring off of a beach, schmoozing a bit, and end up running a day charter biz for as long as they care to. But that one bad apple ...

Re: How to sneak into beach resorts

Just want to point out, if it already has not been, that the day pass to use the pool showers tennis courts, etc Is $40.00 a day per person at the Radison Grand.

This does not include food or drink.

So congrats, you beat them out of $80.00.

I, however, have a different moral compass than those who feel this behavior is acceptable.

A lot of people shining their tin badge. I remember a bumper sticker from the 70's...

Re: How to sneak into beach resorts

As a 24 yr old, I have spent many a vacation sneaking into resorts on spring break.
What worked best?
Dressing uppity, or in a swimsuit like you just came from the beach (carrying nothing but towels and sunscreen.
Some recon of the floor numbers and room numbers will pay off if questioned.
I understand some people having problems with this if they can afford to pay for the resorts. But let's be honest a pirate takes what he wants with no remorse.
Worse that happens is they normally will ban you from the property... Never seen jail time lol.

Guess that makes them lower than most thieves that may feel bad when they steal from you

Okay, so with that in mind, when you get robbed, then it's all a part of being a pirate.

I've read dozens of books about heroes and crooks I've learned much from both of their styles.
I'm sure a resort won't be hurting for any money by you jumping into their pool or hot tub. And maybe using shower facilities.
Haters are going to hate. 😎

What is the cutoff point for when it is OK to steal from someone? Is there a list available to make it easier to decide?

If you are going steal just do it and admit to yourself that you are being a thief, don't be looking for a justification (and posting it on the internet).
