we entered and left via the north pass in light easterly winds.
wide and easily navigated in those conditions with a slight surf break on either side reef bordering the pass between the entrance islands/motu.
we then had a nice broad reach to the channel mark about 3miles west of the port,then motored into the
wind to the port.
the northern pass is only about 7-12m deep so could be dangerous in northerly
wind and swell conditions,but saves a lot of motoring or beating to windward that would be needed if coming from the other 2 passes.
good to hear you got the
money sorted,it would have been a PITA having no cash on arrival
