My lady has cardio issues and oatmeal is her morning staple. I buy her sunflower seeds, crushed pecans and other nuts to mix into her morning bowl.

Boat searching has been a real education.
After some time reading, studying and listening I have a very good idea of what I want, can afford and is up to snuff.

I love that little NS27....but little is the key word. At 49 I just dont think I wanna feel like I am camping all the time...but I still love the idea of the little guy. Just not sure if I would be comfortable...and that aint happening.

At least I have it narrowed down...

31' Southern Cross
32' Fuji Cutter
33' Halberg-Rassy Mistral
31' Dutch Flyer (this is an oddball one, but it looks stout and clean)

And of course the little Nor'sea NS27....

Yes, the Norsea is a pretty small boat. Even as 27 footers go it is not as big as some. I've had boats 21 to 47 feet. A 32 foot boat is very liveable , relatively easy to maintain, and takes a lot less effort to sail. A few big yanks and the mainsail is up.
By comparison, My 47 footer with Torlon batt-cars and full battens the main was so heavy it was too heavy to pull up even in the marina and required low gear ratio cranking to get up.
32 feet gets you a private shower, nice galley etc.
The Baba, Fuji and HR are great, well built, boats.
Don't forget, you can buy many boats for up to 40% off list price.

Oatmeal is delicious! (not a punishment) I've been eating oatmeal all my life and it's my favourite way of starting a day (although nowadays I most often don't eat anything in the morning).

Cook it in water with some salt (microwave ok too), and enjoy with milk. Simple and good. Alternatively cook in milk. Some people add something sweet in it, but I'm used to think and eat it as a non-sweet food. Maybe healthier so.

Thanks for the tips...had fresh apples and cinnamon on it this morning and it was pretty good.

An earlier post on pricing has me wondering so I posted a new thread for it in another area.

One day I hope to visit an Nor'sea boat so I can either put it on the list or to bed.

Heading down to the marina today to go on a 32' boat...this will give me a better idea of size.

Compromise compromise, buy small and sail more but be less comfortable in port...or buy larger and not take the boat out as much?

Decisions decisions.

I try to point out to people thinking of joining the live aboard life that the majority of live aboard sailors seldom leave the marina and very few venture offshore.

Trawlers and houseboats may be a more realistic option.

Try coconut oil and hemp hearts in your oatmeal. Use some agave for sweetening.
Lots of fun things for oatmeal. Chia seeds, nuts of all kinds.
Oh, and try some of Bob's Red Mill Steel Cut Oatmeal. It is not your average oatmeal.
