any info on the great loop-up the east coast of the US-hudson-down the mississippi----have 31'sloop-know i have to step-unstep mast --any info would be greatly appreciated

Welcome aboard, Capt. Gonzo. GreatLoop.org has a lot of resources for the great loop, as does many guidebooks and other sites (Including our Waterway Guides and Skipper Bobs). Generally you'll need to lose the mast between the Hudson and the Lakes, and then again between Chicago and Mobile. Hope this helps.

Have you heard of this group. America's Great Loop Cruisers' Association They charge for info but what the hey.

There is a charge to join the AGLCA but there is a list of the members blogs on the website and you can access them for free. Lots of information. Chuck
