Village Marine "Little Wonder" 12v, 5gph Watermaker

Village Marine "Little Wonder 200" for sale. This watermaker is in very good condition. It was inspected by factory technicians in January and was putting out a solid 5gph at that time. When we last made water less than 2 weeks ago we were showing pretty much the same. (4.8gph). It has always had a fresh water rinse after every use. It is a 12v unit, and we have been able to make water using only our solar panels (2x140w), and, or wind generator while in the Bahamas. I have a new sealed in the box spare membrane that is included. The spare membrane is over 3 years old, so there is no way for me to determine it condition. The watermaker is assembled in components, so you can install it wherever it fits. It is very easy to use, but it is not automatic, so all adjustments have to be made manually. It is also set up with a carbon filter for quick fresh water rinses. Watermaker is still on boat in N. Florida. It has just been pickled for the season. I am asking $1500.

Cheers,
Will

Re: Village Marine "Little Wonder" 12v, 5gph Watermaker

Dan,
To answer your questions:
The model is Village Marine LWM 200
As an older model, you will not find it on their website. This is a basic, low maintenance, easy to use, dependable watermaker. The pump was rebuilt and the motor replaced just over two years ago. A new membrane was also installed at that time.
It draws between 15 and 18 amps at 12 volts.
Overall condition is very good. The attached picture is from the cover of the Owners Manual is to give you an idea of what the unit looks like. Included, but not shown in the photo, is the boost pump, 7' hi-pressure hose, 3-way valves(2), 5 micron pre filter vessel, and the fresh water flush charcoal filter vessel.
I can provide other photos of the installed system, but I need to remove some access panels to get to it.
As long as you understand what this unit does, being very hands-on to operate and are willing to manually adjust the pressure gauge, and fresh water flush when necessary, you will have a very reliable source of fresh, clean water using mostly solar and/or wind power.
