Is this still for sale? I have that exact windlass on my boat and it keeps burning up the motors.

Check your wiring. Those motors are pretty robust and not known for failure

They have been discontinued and spare parts are hard to come by. Lewmar acquires Simpson Lawrence a while back and I’m looking at the 1000w Pro Fish Freefall to replace it with. The previous owner made some modifications and I don’t necessarily trust his work. I’d like one that I can at least find parts for. I plan of going to some pretty remote places. The Lewmar comes with a remote control so, as a single handed sailor, I will be able to motor forward and lift the anchor from the cockpit.

I’ll definitely take a look at the wiring and keep the old unit as a spare.
