If you're going to fit an above deck one, try to get a Wuxi Hongba HB-DJ809 with a 25cm stroke - it's the same as Pelagic use and a drop-in replacement for the Raymarine tiller drive.

Most likely I will connect the tiller drive to my aries windvane. That will make the windvane do the work of actually moving the tiller, and use less power. (in theory)

If I understand the post correctly, you're lookin for a tiller? I have a solid teak original from a Pearson Alberg, with all the bronze parts to hook it to the steering shaft. It is a direct connection with a round sleeve and I need an autopilot... Tiller and the bronze are in excellent shape. If that's not going to work, I'm interested in the Autopilot.
