Aluminium or Bronze? Spring self tailers or fixed?

I believe the Barient 27 ST's were only aluminum with a spring top. The springs are on SS shoulder bolts which thread and stop at a set distance on the shoulder. They usually strip out over time. I've had a few in my machine shop for SS thread repair inserts. It would be helpful with detailed picture. Especially of the tops where the shoulder bolts are.

No, we have 27 STs as secondaries and they are chromed bronze with the fixed jaw self tailers. Our similar age 32 STs are chromed bronze but with the spring jaw tailers (which are far better IMO). Hence my question...
