Pirateer

We cruise with our kids, who love games. The big problem, of course, is that most board games are made of cardboard.

A few years ago while hanging out in St. Augustine we came across a cool toy story that sold a game called "pirateer." We bought a copy and it became a huge family hit. Only problem was the cardboard. A flyer on the inside said there was a version that shipped in a can (deluxe version). So I contacted the company (who at the time was the guy who invented and produced the game) and ordered a few. They're great, the "board" is printed on felt, the pieces are plastic or metal and everything tucks into a nice looking, long metal can.

I've since found the game at some local stores, both in the can and in the box. You can buy it on their website too, at www.pirateer.com

Any other game suggestions?

Here's an attachment that shows my crew playing, to keep the board flat (because of the fiddles on the table) we play on a berth board.

Does this board support in-line images? The ones I've posted just come in as attachments or URL links.

Smile I changed the options ...

so now you will see attached images in the posts

PS! Attachments are now limited to 1 kb filesize

BUT I've now opened several sections for image linking by use of the IMG-button in the message editor. The image must be located on another server (ex your internet provider's server). Right clicking the mouse on the image (Windows) + Properties gives you the web-address for the image. Copy it to the clipboard and paste it in after pressing the IMG-button.

This way we keep the database small and fast instead of filling it up with large image files. There's also no limit in size doing it this way but don't use images that are too wide for the message-frame.

This image is 356 pixels wide and fits into the frame quite well:

He had 16 divers on board. With their fins on they managed to get it going ...
