Yes, its in the great lakes and has vc-17. I will be going out to salt, so it will need all paint removed at some point anyway.

Sounds like the best way to go is do the full bottom job while its dry and forget about it until next haul out

I used VC 17 one year and the following year nothing would stick to it, so yes its all going to have to come off. Get a price for slurry or dry ice blasting what ever is available. My experience with the chemicals wasn't great and I don't think I could bring myself to scrape a hull by hand.
