Polyurethane over teak oiled table??

After cleaning, sanding and applying Watco Teak Oil finish to a table I would like to know if is possible / advisable to then apply a coat of clear polyurethane? The table will not be exposed to the elements, but,,, would your advise be different if it was? How long after applying the oil should I wait before applying the poly? Thanks
