Please recommend custom tank makers

I need a new water tank and and a new holding tank. Both will require a custom made tank as I can't find one of the correct size or shape that are rotomolded and readily available (Ronco, Raritan, Moeller, etc). I would like to go with plastic for the holding and water tank. I would also consider stainless for water tank.

Can someone recommend a plastic tank maker? Someone that will weld a custom made plastic tank?

Also looking for recommendations on a stainless steel tank maker.

I am located in the mid-Atlantic area. Both tanks are of a size that could be shipped.

Have you looked at using multiple "stock" tanks to come close to size/shape you need? I seem to recall that Raritan will make you a custom tank -- maybe Ronco will too -- have you asked them?

These guys can make (or at least used to) a custom sized tank with the fittings where you want them.

If you go online and search for custom polyethylene tanks you will find lots of suppliers. If you look around you will probably find someone in a nearby city that makes them, or you can use one of the larger firms that are present on the internet and have them shipped in. These days they don't make welded poly tanks for fuel (in the US), but water and holding tanks are readily available. Just remember that they will be welded from flat sheets of plastic so don't expect curves. Curves can be approximated by several flat sections, but at a cost: complexity increases the labor and price. You should make careful drawings of what you want first, then submit them for quotes to a few suppliers.

These folks built a great little custom plastic holding tank for my 50 year old boat a couple years ago:

I made a template out of cardboard, checked for fit, then transfered the dimensions to paper. It worked out perfectly. You could even send the cardboard to them if you want.

Stainless steel fabricators can be found most anywhere so that should be a bit easier.
