please help identify this furling

Hello, I salvaged this furling from a 37' ferrocemet Endevor that I believe sailed from South Africa to Nova Scotia. Unfortunately it fell over while ashore and was unrepairable. The furling I am considering using on a Roberts 31' (cutter rig) on inner forstay and purchase new for forestay. I have never used furling before and am unable to find any markings on the system other than number 78 stamped on either side of wheel. Attached are some pictures ... if anyone can identify this furling I would much appreciate it so I can find details of how to rig. Thanks
