I was just going to post this, if the search didnt bring it up. I got a bunch of sugru for christmass two years ago and was quite sceptical. However, since then I used it to fix things I never thought would be that easy. On the boat I used it to seal the depth tranducer fitting when it leaked, made anti-slip patches on the deck under the anchor; off the boat I found numerous use of it (lights, saucepan lid, motorbike part etc). Heat resistant, sets under water sticks to everything, read about it! When you are stuck for some material you never thought existed, think of sugru.
