Lightweight Cabin Sole/Flooring Material

Our boat, French built, came with lightweight floorboards (no attachment to the structure) throughout. They're between 20 and 25mm (3/4 - 1") total thickness. Balsa core. Fake teak laminate on top surface, very smooth white laminate surface underneath (really easy to clean). Looks like it originally came in plywood sheet sizes. Cut to size, seal balsa edges and away you go. Relatively decent looking, very light, strong enough for its purpose.

I'd like some more of the material but can't find/identify it. A couple of people have told me it is common in Europe, but with no further details. Sound familiar to anyone? Any leads/links appreciated.

Re: Lightweight Cabin Sole/Flooring Material

Thanks. Unfortunately the word 'core' brings up lots of stuff about boat cores, and the 'imitation teak' lots of stuff about heavy vinyl products (that mostly seem to be intended for outdoors). So far my Google ** has failed me at finding the right combination. Possibly because I'm not searching in French or German.
