Depending on the year some of the steering boxes have to be modified.

Suggest you join the Yahoo group where many threads on steering cables exist and many are willing to repeat esperiences.

Go to Yahoo and type Gemini_cats groups into the search.

I tried to link a you tube thing but when i checked the link it was inappropriate. Guess you should google that and there is a a video that doesnt have things that were showing up in my link. Why someone would do that with a cable?

Try bonding and taping the old one to the new and then pulling the whole piece through. Hope that helps.
A little weirded out how gemini replacement cable vid that i watched pasted over as a gemini wack porn shot. Hope i cleared it before it posted

Google, Gemini steering cables on Felix, part one and part two. Shows the whole lot, including removing the fridge,

Its a real PITA getting the cables back into the steering box,

You have to pull the box apart, and the cables go in from both sides, About 2 inches hangs out both sides after getting them back in,

I did have a couple of video's sent to me when I did mine, But I cant find them on the forums,

Where did you get your new cables from and how much did they cost you, I still need new ones for my Gemini.

Re: gemini 105

Hi,

I was able to get a PDF file from gemini that explained the correct way to replace both cables. Their email address is service@geminicatarmans.com.
I had new cables on the boat but found a place this morning to buy both cables online. They are Uflex cables. Portis an M666x19; starboard is M66x14. The company is "epal".

My gemini is a 2005 and earlis one take different cables. All this is explained in the PDF file.

Hope this will help you.
