I fell off a machine back on Feb. 6th and broke a couple ribs. Never wanna do that again, THE PAIN! But it's now healed enough to do some sanding again.
And I fell of a machine Jan 31st and broke 3 ribs on the right side...Yup, it hurt a tiny little bit, don't want to do that again for sure..

Peg Leg Rick. It has a ring to it. I hope it heals well. I hear Guiness helps with that ... or was that the problem to begin with?

I hope you're feeling better soon too, Del. I've had a displaced rib and that's painful enough.

Goodbye ole' girl. We learned a lot from you. I hope your new owners treat you well.

I didn't get enough for a solid gold peg leg but brushed aluminum will suffice!

Healing up. Back to boat building soon.

Soon you'll be plying the waters of Lake Winnipeg with the result of the sweat of your brow beneath your feet. Now that will feel good!

Right, thanks. Mental collapse is my only excuse (and refuge).

Thank gawd I didn't end up with an amputation although a peg leg would be a good place to keep a small cache of Rum!

Knee is healing well. Severely sprained but nothing torn or broken. A week or so and I should be back to almost normal. Guiness had absolutely nothing to do with the accident. In fact it probably could have prevented it! I hear it has great medicinal properties but I try to refrain when taking pain meds.

Just ordered the epoxy to laminate the outside of the hull. Somewhere around the first weekend in August I'd like to get that job done then it's prepping for paint.

Standby..

Re: And So it Begins . . . Knottybuoyz' New Project

The interior will be the fun part. Nothing will be typical or square. each piece will have to be custom fit, not like a house where it's dropped in and nailed down.

I've gone thru a small fortune in screws just to build in a head compartment. The decking is the worse for me. But it is nice to see a completed job even if it is a little at a time.

I have to admit to a bit of a smirk when in the company of some of my building construction buddies. When they complain of the difficulty of assembly, I think to myself "If only you knew "

No doubt. Nothing is square or straight, at least, not for long on a boat...

Of all the parts, pieces and tools left on my boat by the po, I'm most curious why he had a level. ??? And he obviously didn't know how to use the square. lol

Sounds like you could write a book on the experiences of the past year. Good on ya, what a project to take on! My hat is off to you sir!
