Yanmar 4JH57 mixing elbow

Hi,

I have a Lagoon 450 with 4JH57 engines, and have just reached the 500 hour service. The manual says to replace the mixing elbow every 500 hours regardless of how good they look...

This is going to get expensive if I need to replace them every 500 hours... they look like they are aluminium...

Has any one had SS elbows made to replace the stock ones? I've heard they will last considerably longer...

Regards, Rick
