Perkins 4108 potable water heater hose question

i removed a potable water heater that was connected to a Perkins 4108 and am wondering if i just cap the lines that used to go to the water heater or just put in a short loop of hose in their place?

Short loop the hoses. Actually, if you are not planning to install a new water heater then run a shorter hose between two points on the engine where old lines were attached. It is very important to keep antifreeze flowing in an engine.
