This looks like a very old thread, I have an 2005
Jaguar 36 in Rio Dulce, Guat., and it seems that the extreme heat has caused thermal stresses that have caused cracks to form in most of the large
salon windows, radiating inwards from the edges. Apparently the previous owner has replaced them once before, so I can't say what the existing material is. Clear dark tint is all I can comment on. I've since put a sun/rain cover on the
boat and now am looking to source materials and skilled labour to do a professional
repair. Anyone out there have suggestions? Plan A is to ship materials from stateside to Guat. and have experienced (??!!) labour cut and install them somewhere nearby. Plan B is to drill out the root of the cracks and silicone them for
water seal until a more permanent fix can be made. Any leads to materials suppliers (macralon?) or contractors capable of such
repairs in the
Guatemala or
Belize would be appreciated. Eric
