Used Charter Catamaran

Anyone have ever purchase a used catamaran that have done charter manage by sunsail
What should i expect from a used boat like that

are they usually in good shape

any comment is appreciate

I just had a boat come out of charter. My feeling is that they get used hard, by people who either don't care or don't know as much about taking care of the boat as an owner would. However, they are also maintained to charter ready conditions.

I think privately owend boats will vary more in both extremes. Some will be used very hard and neglected. (often why they are being sold) Others will be in pristine condition and lightly used. I've certainly seen non-charter boats for sale that are in much worse shape than my charter boat was a the end of it's contract.

The market has a way of finding a value for all boats.

our only problem is we are far from the sea not easy to visit many different cat
we will be at the boat show in annapolis to see some
i would like to have a new one but dont think it will fit our budget
he have also the deal where you buy new and they charter it for us but we are not sure if we want to do that would be open if they could charter it with us as captain
bUt you are still with them for 5 years
not sure if they can do that
