Re: Published light displacements accurate?

My FP Salina48 measures 14.9m (48'8") o/all. This includes the fixed prod and aft overhang. Hull length 14.1 (46'3"). The o/all length is critical when booking into a marina. The fact that o/all she is 8" longer that "named" 48 costs me an extra $26.00 (NZD) per night for the larger birth.

What is the aft overhang - Davits? On our L450 with prodder and extended davits it measures 47.2ft. Our prodder however can fold down and the davit extensions can be removed so we can shrink to 45'10" we have found that useful when the mooring ball limit is 46ft (LOA)

Good point. Unfortunately on the Salina the aft overhang is a solid platform and the prod is also fixed.

Re: Published light displacements accurate?

CE light displacement is defined in EU as: the boat with all standard equipment and all standard tanks (fuel, water ..) half full. So all equipment on the "Extras" list is not included. Have had my boat weighed 3 times with 3 different scales, and my boat is between 0 and 20 kgs heavier than given by Lagoon. But I think, that some yards, that want to sell their cats as "faster than Lagoons" are too optimistic about the weights ...
