FP Helia owners: What is the Sea Water Pump switch?

Arrived to pick up a 2013 Helia and deliver it to the new owner. On the 12 volt panel in the port stairwell just below the nav station there is a switch labeled Sea Water Pump. There is a distinct buzzing while it is running. It is not the same as the Air Cond Pump on the 120 volt panel. I called the owner. He says he has no idea what it does and typically leaves it off.

Does anyone know what that switch does? And is it supposed to buzz or hum like that?

Thanks.

John

It's for the salt water supply to the little salt water tap in the galley at the left side of the sink. It is pretty loud, but should only be on during salt water rinse.

That pump also has a salt water wash down connection on the port side upper of the anchor locker. I have yet to change the quick connect as it is currently a European size so the US connections don't fit.
