All in all, a PIA, but we put the costs in the loan.

One possible plan to cut the expenses way down would be to sail the boat across the Gulf of Mexico and have it trucked from Texas instead of Florida. I realize that you may have time constraints, but wow, it could be a real adventure.

4 years ago we shipped a 35’ boat from Boston to Portland for 10k including packing the boat. Not cheap but still seems reasonable. Ultimately we just figured it into the cost of the boat. Boats and the associated costs have little to do with common sense and frugality. Good luck with your purchase
