Sabre 36

I have stumbled onto an interesting opportunity with a Sabre 36. This is a mid 1980's boat built when Hewsen was still on top. she is a keel / centerboard model. Opinions ? Capt. Lar

Very nice boat

Capt. Lar,

If the opportunity is interesting enough snap it up. Nice traditional layout. Supposed to be well built and they seem to hold their value fairly well. Nice looking boat too! By the way, I see you've found the "shift" key on your keyboard.

Does this mean that the Bristol will be up for sale?

You never know. Interested ? She is in the paint shop now and will be looking sharp if we do make a move. The price would be very fair.

Maybe. It depends on a lot of things falling in the right places.
I would like very much to move to something that I feel more comfortable with to take offshore.

If "offshore" means a couple of nights headed to Maine - no problem. If you mean Bermuda - plenty do it, but she is a well built coastal cruiser, nothing more.

I have always liked the Sabre 36. Both the mid 80s version and the later 362. Some friends have a 362 and it's a great coastal / limited [i.e. Bermuda or island hopping] offshore boat.

The Sabre 36 is under agreement and scheduled for survey.
