Can you help me identify the make of this boat

I seen this boat on Ebay a few years back. I couldn't bid on it then but had hoped to find one similar. I most liked the interior layout of this one, not sure if it was standard or custom, it just needed a lot of work.

Any ideas would be appreciated

I can't help ID it but it is a center cockpit ketch. Maybe those folks here with center cockpit boats can chime in.

Also if you look at the design of the keel......you can see it is a an older design semi-full keel which tells me this is an older vessel and can be had at a much less expensive price. Also tells me the vessel is Slow! But now I see you are Riversloth.....this may be the perfect vessel for you LOL. On a more serious note....the sharp rake of the bow is old school and the swept up stern is also an older design.....70's-80's.

I must confess that I am a little skeptical about a first post that requests information on a boat that was "on Ebay a few years back" but uses pictures from a current listing.

For anyone that's interested, it is a 1989 45' Starrett Semi Custom Ketch.

I think I might owe you an apology - looks like it might be an old listing.

USauctions.com - Item Description: #9401: 1989 45' Starrett Semi Custom Ketch Sailboat (Hurricane Isaac)

geoff54. Apology accepted. I was going to kick myself if it was currently listed. I check Ebay almost daily. At least you gave me some good info.

xxuxx Old and slow is fine with me. I have a ski boat to go fast.

An Older boat that needs work is what I'm looking for.

Once again thank you for the information

I think it may be (frankly speaking, I think it is) a custom ketch version of Starrett - Jenks 45 (designed by Morgan). At least the hull looks very similar.

If so, it will be not so slow boat, not so slow...

Best regards

Tomasz

I looked at that auction listing. That sunken boat reminded me of the dubious CANNED BEEF in a recipe appearing in CRUISING WORLD submitted by sailor off some remote atoll in the Pacific.

The BEEF AND RICE recipe when something like this:

• Open CANNED BEEF and DISCARD half of contents as being FAT.
• Cook RICE
• Sauté CARROTS, ONIONS, and CELERY and add mixture to cooked RICE
• DISCARD remainer of CANNED BEEF
• Eat rice and vegetables.

Disagree on the slow part of this post. Nothing slow about a well designed 3/4 keel.

If it is the hull of Starrett - Jenks 45, adapted for the built of custom ketch, it should be rather really fast
