8 ft draft - sea of cortez - costa rica

Good afternoon. We are looking to upgrade our boat and we found a nice C&C 44 for a decent price. I was surprised that for a racing cruiser the boat seems very comfortable and what I read about C& 40 seems encouraging. It seems they do good off-shore boats.

My big hesitation is the draft over 8 ft. Here in the pacific northwest is not too much of a problem, but I am wondering if it will be down south in the sea of Cortez and Costa Rica where we are planning to sail in a few years.

Like many, we love to spend time off-grid, anchor, out in cove etc...

Any feedback back, thoughts for people having experience of these waters?

There is one port, Puerto Escondido, that might be tricky, you might want a filling tide, but otherwise, imo, the Golfo de California should be fine with that draught.

I don't know about Costa Rica, never been there. Look at the charts.
