1986 niagara 35 encore chain locker drain

Does anyone out there know how the chain locker drains on this boat. I have not been able to find a route for any water taken in at the windlass to get to the bilge. We have had water accumulate and spill over into the starboard forward storage area. Removal of water in the chain locker was done by hand pump.
Thanks in advance for any advise
