Hello all. Just registered with this forum to share information on topics related to the restoration and handling of a 1976 MacGregor Venture 25 on a shoestring. Any and all information regarding restoration topics for this trailer sailor would be well appreciated.

Thanks again! Any info on rigging would be helpful. The mast needs a few minor repairs and it's time to get the rigging details sorted out. Wiring will be replaced 100% and the sink area will be reworked. Shore power equipment is being considered also. Any info on anyone's resto of this 1976 MacGregor Venture 25 will be appreciated.

If you gave us some idea as to what parts need restoration it might help! You have outlined a program to do some areas... what else is wrong with the boat?

I would just get ahold of blue water yachts in Washington. They have all standing rigging pre-done for each model. MacGregor Boat Parts

Congratulations on finding a boat! The Venture 25's with the side deck are better built than the later M25's with the walk over deck. Friend had former for many years. Roomier than a Catalina 22 at about the same weight. Sailed comparably well to other trailer sailers.
