so $17 is a joke. my opinion.
if you want to work for $17/hr go for it. its not worth my time.

Yeah, but like I said you never even read the thread. Why would anyone hire you at all if you are that careless and not thorough?

There’s no need to come on here and disparage someone who is trying to get their boat together to go cruising. I’m sure he’s paying what he can afford. Or trying to anyway. Why is that a personal insult to you?

Re: Sailboat: Helper Wanted $$

why do you say I've not read the thread. maybe I did and don't agree.. hum.
hire someone to work on your boat is not cheap..
been there. rebuilt mine myself( labor cost to have the yard was almost 100k more than I did it myself). so why are you taking offense at what i'm saying?
yes I rebuilt my boat after being destroyed( insurance total) from a hurricane. yes the local yard rate were too high.
so maybe there is something I know you don't. maybe.

$17 or $18/hour, even in Floriduh may not get you much. Hard to find anyone willing to work these days and be reliable and show up on time and pay them less than $20/hour. Not saying it's not possible but you may want to up the pay for a better response. I was paying $20 to $25 in Houston area and having a hard time finding anyone interested.

Re: Sailboat: Helper Wanted $$

Joined 17 years ago so yes, fairly new here. I understand. Just mentioning that your price structure may be optimistic based on my recent experiences. I only found people willing to work that were very local and even then on a "as they could fit me in when they felt like it basis". New post would solve the problem on non editing the OP.

Re: Sailboat: Helper Wanted $$

I am interested in your project, I have a sailboat of my own, so I know the problems. And I am retired from work, so time is not a problem. P
