Looking for 1-2 crew to go from Portland OR to Anacortes

The boat is a 2008 Beneteau 343.

My thought is the following:
- June 25 leave Portland for Astoria. arrive Astoria that day.
-June 26 leave Astoria for Neah Bay. Arrive around 19:00 on 6/27
-proceed to Anacortes. It may make sense to spend the night in Neah bay.

I’d cover food and a bus ticket back to Portland. This is not a paid gig.

Things to know about the boat.
-35 gallons of diesel. That works out to approximately 50 hours depending on headwinds.
-past experience was it took 25 gallons of fuel to go from Astoria to Neah Bay over 33 hours.
-the boat will be rigged with jack lines and a raft.
-Bimini and dodger are good
-radar, gps, radio, and autopilot all functioning.

I’ve done this before but haven’t done it several times. I have one other crew member with a lot of experience

I’m looking for 1-2 people with some experience on the Washington coast who have been over the Columbia bar. Optimal crew would be four and we’d use single person watches with 2 hours on and 6 off. If we have just three, then the watches will be three hours on with 6 hours off.

Non smoking boat. Usual “non”s apply( no alcohol underway, no cannibis products on the boat, non smoking). You need to show evidence of vaccination.

Update: departure date is June 28. I’ve now filled one of the two slots.

Re: Looking for 1-2 crew to go from Portland OR to Anacortes

I've sailed across portions of this route twice. Once, I crewed with the skipper of a Valiant 40, and his family from Warrenton, OR to Friday's Harbor. Seems like it took about 3 days, motoring through fog and drizzle, with very little wind.

Looks like your filling out your crew list, but if by chance you are looking for an additional member I'd be interested. A PM will be sent with a resume.

Good Luck sailing
