Well, I got into Shallow bay about 1400. Went over to a ketch- no luck. The evening was nice, caught some great fish and grilled them up. About 1900 a tri pulled in- I though Volia! and brought a nice plate of grilled fish over. They thanked me but didn't have a clew about CF. Left the next morning
Maybe some other time you guys....

I don't know if you can get better publicity then fresh fish delivered to your boat and grass roots promotion of our site. Thanks for telling them about CF!

Salish Sea

Maybe nobody knew where this get-together was supposed to be. Next time, try the 'Salish Sea'.

Sounds like it would have been a great trip. I was up to Desolation Sound in late June and I was amazed at how few boats were there. We had the anchorage at Tenedos all to ourselves one night.

newt,
I was in Shallow Bay Sun. night and Echo Bay Mon. through Tues. morning. Listened to the radio and rowed around all the boats and no sign of anything CF. It's a beautiful place though and had a good time. Beats working. Maybe a little more of a plan next time. What days were you there?

Missed Opportunity

I was at Sucia a bit early and looked around. Sorry we didn't find anyone there. We enjoyed greatly being there and stayed two days in Echo Bay.

This seems to tie in with the thread regarding a CF burgee. Might be a good way to recognize other CF contributors.

Don't know if Gord was asking for co-ordinates for the Salish Sea. It is the new name for the former strait/gulf of Georgia. Far more reflective of our history.

No.
If nobody knew where this get-together was supposed to be, I was suggesting that next time, try specifying a Lat & Lon?

The CF burgees have been ordered, and Andy is just figuring out how to takle orders etc. They look great, and are the highest qualty!

Dan, I guess I wasn't acting very sailorish. I stayed in Shallow bay that night even though the swells were coming in because I wanted to meet you guys. Very uncomfortable night. Got up twice to secure stuff falling around. If I would of used my common sense, I would have come around to echo bay and slept well. I hate crowds however soo... But we went down to Roche harbor the next day and I drowned my tears in ice cream So its all good.... ( I anchored out a mile or so from town- away from them tourists...)
