I can understand that you sometimes get caught out in severe weather that comes without warning. The logic of running a sailboat race in severe conditions escapes me.

It might have been a good time to go out and test your parachute sea anchor, but racing seems like a bad idea.

It's been very up and down weather. We had a gorgeous sail out of Victoria to Sequim on Thursday, were pinned down in heavy winds in Sequim for 3 days and then had a perfect run back to Victoria on Monday.

The last two nights have been very rolly at Fisherman's Wharf.
