What Do You Do All Day? The Busy Life of a Cruiser

Hello readers and browsers,

For seasoned cruisers my latest article on XWaters.com will sound very familiar, for wanna-be-cruisers and romanticizers it might come as an eye-opener. Enjoy!

Xwaters.com | The Cruising Life: What Do You Do All Day? Part 1

And for the stories of SV Irie and her crew, there is a new blog post every week on It's Irie

Happy sailing!

Part one should have been :

Getting ready for the cruise

Part 1.
You left out all the work, sweat, tears, money, and frustration just getting ready to leave with your boat in ship and cruise shape.
Part 2.
And I hope you made sure to say it was all worth it and everyday is a great adventure. You didn't leave out the fact that you can hop on a cheap bus in the Rio Dulce and see the Myan ruins in Guatemala built 3000 years ago did you?
Or you can see the temples of Thailand or you can choose to climb the tallest point and swim the reefs of the islands of Tahiti?

Then there's Part 3.
When in Samoa you walk the shore to get your dinner picking up coconut crab for free?
Or you can pick fruit that's abundant and swim the reefs of the islands fishing also for free?

Sorry I have to go now I am cooking some fresh fish with coconut sauce on the rail and making a wonderful Pineapple, mango and Papaya salad to go with it.

I'm practicing for when I leave...

We carry musical instruments and the best way to save our batteries is play our own acoustic instruments which are :banjo, dobro, mandolin, guitar, acoustic bass. What do you expect from a yacht named We Be Jammin

Friends and family used to ask us that question. Our answer was, "I don't know, but it takes all day to do it."

I couldn't agree more with that. I always thought the same thing, but now I can actually pin point WHAT we do all day! :-)
