Teak sealers or not

This is a question mainly for people who keep their boats in places that get hot during the summer (like the Med). It's a different scenario keeping a boat in let's say England vs Greece. Do you use sealers (like Semco, Teak wonder etc) to protect your teak especially from being exposed to the sun or not? Do you recommend any specific ones? Do you believe sealers should not be used at all? Any other ways to protect teak (besides using a cover)?
Thanks
