Seattle vehicle scale?

I am looking to weigh a sailboat on a trailer in the Seattle area.

Anyone know of one, or how to find one?

I am just looking to weigh the boat on the trailer. Can this be done with the trailer hooked to the car, or does the jack in front also have to be in contact with the scale? If so, I need somewhere that will allow you the time to disconnect and reconnect the trailer.

Re: Seattle vehicle scale?

I don’t know of anything in Seattle, but a lot of truck stops have scales. Yes, they can weigh just the trailer and boat. There is a lower limit on these scales, if you’re looking at a smaller boat. I have a 17’ Catalina and those scales couldn’t get a weight on it because all-in it was less than 500lbs. I ended up going to a feed store (where you buy for cattle and such). Their scale would weigh smaller sizes.

Re: Seattle vehicle scale?

You can weigh your tow vehicle with the boat/trailer, then weigh only your tow vehicle at a later time.
I can't remember the last place around Seattle that has a scale for anyone. Scrap metal places I think.

Go here, pay to weigh places listed, search King Co section, has phone numbers:
