Sailing movie-Pacific Sun

I'm not certain of the actual title of the movie although I think I am pretty close.

In the '70s I was in the audience to watch the premiere showing of a semi-documentary of a boat shoving off to sail the globe. One scene was the crew making ready for passage by transferring all liquid stores from glass containers to plastic. It made sense since who wants broken glass wasting stores and fouling the locker or sole? How innocent we were in light that plastic has become the bain of society.

Two yrs following I shoved off to sail CA-HI with a 2 crew (me and one other) on a Cal 29 and harkened to the advice given in the movie.
