Just did a quick search for the 990
more than double the price
saw it for 379 to 429
more than I wanted to spend.
For some reason all these small portables
have skyrocketed in price
I’d buy one now if your even thinking about it

Was the same with the 880... early production had 'issues'

Universal is “Back Ordered” for the 880
I expect delivery from them by end of July

I used to have a SONY receiver. Very nice unit.
Nowadays I am using my Yaesu FT-817 Transceiver whenever I need something portable.

Just received the Tecsun PL880. And an iRig2. Waiting for a lead to connect radio to IRig2 and then into Samsung Tablet. Now investigating app to decode WeatherFax. Any preferences?

Having not used the SSB that I do have on board, I need to learn how to use SSB and all the buttons on the Tecsun
