I was/am planning a trip to Cuba
in November/December and was planning on going under the legal
8. Support for the Cuban people: The U.S. Treasury Department Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) defines “support for the Cuban people” as “human rights organizations; independent organizations designed to promote a rapid, peaceful transition to democracy; and individuals and non-governmental organizations that promote independent activity intended to strengthen civil society in Cuba
My plan was to load up the boat
, tooth brushes
, pencils and whatever else I could gather for orphanages in Havana. Sadly, I had someone contact me last fall that has done just that, and I was just going to look him up, but must have deleted his PM.
So I'm back to square one, if anyone can give me guidance, information, contacts, or offer advice
, I'd really appreciate it.
Not interested in a political debate or advice
on why not to go.
