Re: How do you size a stern anchor?

In addition to all of this good info, you can use additional snubbers from your anchor rode secured to other parts of your boat, adjust length and thereby adjust your attitude to wind/current.

We often used a primary snubber as usual, and then a second snubber attached to our primary winch, forming a bridal to adjust the boat when wind and waves were coming from different directions. The winch made it trivial to micro adjust to changing conditions.

Not as useful when the wind dies.
