Which is why it's called my "wall of shame".

Look at all those things I've done and no one really cares. What a shame, eh?

Exactly, know what you can do, and just importantly, knowing what you can't, is what is important. Not a piece of paper or an icon. Sometimes one NEEDS that piece of paper, but I have only needed The Paper a few times in life, and the paper I do have, does not even get anywhere close to showing my capabilities and skills.

Later,
Dan
Dan, I only know you from your posts, but it seems like you've got it squared away. Hope i bump into you on the water someday. I'll raise a PBR in your general direction.

I'd not seen that you'd passed your test, with flying colors no less. Good job. As for MOB confidence, successful lost hat recovery on ~1/2 dozen occasions were priceless confidence boosters for my 2 kids & me.

Time for a name change to "Wall of Endeavors." Replace the empty areas with aspirations and check-boxes. Then put them on your calendar and get to work. Adapt & overcome as you go. It's that easy. As a bonus, your epitaph and obituary will be slam dunks for those who remain once you're gone.

Fair winds & following seas

I care. I read the ASA course summaries and was surprisingly impressed. I found the 101 test online, and was impressed. I’m glad you bothered, and I wish all novice boaters took the courses.

Your stress is a cause-and-effect result. I took my exam without any worries. On https://phdessay.com/essay-type/cause-and-effect/ I read some advice on how to prepare. You need mint, quiet songs, and favorite food. I also practiced meditation because this method helps a lot of people. On the source, I mentioned I found reliable literature essays. They also were helpful.
Do not worry, you will have a lot of exams, you have to be used to them.

I’d keep it but change what’s up so it’s only stuff that you tend to discount (“oh, I didn’t really do anything”) or where you were 110% convinced you’d do horribly on but you did fine. Make it the wall of “the brain gremlins are lying to you.”

Also, future note for anyone with multiple choice tests - if you don’t know an answer, cross out any answers you know for sure are wrong before you move on. There’s often one or two. Then when you come back to it there’s less to consider and even if you guess you’re more likely to guess the right thing because you’ve eliminated some of the options.

hmmm.... Bill, in my case, not many, if you mean ones administered by others....

I think you conflated my quote with someone else's...

However, metaphorically, we all face 'exams' of a sort each day...
