A few parting words

Well folks, my spell down here ends in less than 2 days then it's back to the "World" a bit of prep on the boat then off for 6 months or so around NZ.
My contact on this forum will be necessarily limited during this time but I will still consider myself very much part of the community here. The advice and encouragement I have received here will add immeasurably to mine & Sue's experiences and we thank you for that.
Once I am forced to rejoin the real world of employment I will again have a chance to contribute here and who knows, I might even be in the position of being able to offer sailing advice to the newbies that continue to flock to this site.
I've passed a link for cruisersforum to a guy down here who has just bought a project boat and encouraged him to join up. Might even be able to start a tradition of ice people on here, you never know.
To the ones I'll be catching up with in NZ, see ya soon and to the rest, see ya when we cross wakes.
Pete

Well Pete.

I look forward in crossing wakes with ya?

And if ya ever do travel to the states. Put a notice on the forum, letting us know you're coming. Ok?

Am going to miss you for the short term. I look very much toward hearing more about your passage and fitting out for your next tour.

Enjoy your adventure. Keep us posted when you are forced to stop in the "civilized" regions of the globe.

Hope you remember how to deal with that "liquified water!" It doesn't hurt as much when you fall on it!

Best wishes for a smooth, safe, happy and fulfilling "reentry!"

I'll look for you in any threads that pertain to refrigeration now that you may actually need it. May all your sunsets be red.

Fair winds!

Please post pictures, especially of the around NZ stuff. It is one of my dreams to do that some day.

And take a good log of the good Fish'n chips places.

Hey guy's, I'm a bit worried. Pete still seems to be logged on. You don't suppose in his rush and excitment to catch the plane, he's shot out the door with out turning the lights and computer off do you?? Mate, when the next guy arrives in the summer, is he going to have a power bill.

Alan,

I think a lot of people "logged in" may not be... If the computer is wired via dsl or better, as long as the computer stays on, the cookie works. Hence it's possible his workstation is still used by someone else, and the cookie still shows he's logged in. Just an hypothesis.
