2007 Zodiac Yacht Line 380 - does any one know if these are PVC or hypalon?

Looking at one on craigslist to use primarily in New England. We are cruising up there spring/summer/fall and living on a hook in newport and Nantucket. This type of tender gives us stability to the dock and a little run about for the 3 kids. Won't have to tow it much. We have a roll up Achilles with a 4 hp for travel south (Miami area in winter) but maybe I'd tow it down by car if it makes sense. I can't find any materials online around manufacturer specs.

40 hp Yamaha 4 stroke for power.

10k.

Thoughts on price too? Nothing negative I can think around the motor.

Owned a Yachtline I believe 500 with a 70 HP Yamaha and trailer years ago and it was Hypalon. It did also come with a fitted cover.
Great little boats however you might want to check and see if they are still manufacturing the tubes which will have to be replaced . I was lucky enough to get the last tube manufactured for mine. It would have been catastrophic if I could have not got a replacement tube. It is not simply patching a leak but what will eventually happen is that the bolt rope that holds the tube to the hull parts from the tube.
This may be a big factor in buying a used Yachtline.

Latest update. 150 total hours on both boat and engine. Stored indoors for winter. Hyperlon construction. Trailer. Going to look tomorrow. List 24k. Hoping to snag for 9.

one more question. For the money and they way we plan on using this, would a 13' whaler with a 25hp be a better option? again this isn't to take off shore. its to get around from the mooring to the dock and have a little run-about for the kids to play around on. would tow it from nantucket to places like martha vineyard and newport a few times a year but only if we are going for a week or. otherwise we will use our rollup floor achilles.

the zodiac - 2007 hyperlon - 40hp 4 stroke yamaha 150 hours. 10k

The whaler - 2003 super sport - 25 hp yamaha 4 stroke. 6k

other than the obvious on cost what are your thoughts?

Funny I asked myself the same questions when I bought mine.
I like the RIBS better but there are down sides.
Again replacing the tube at some time will be an issue and they are not cheap. Mine was 4k! Just make sure they still make them and do not believe the dealer check the manufacturer yourself.
Also if the boat is in the water for any length of time you will start getting bottom growth on the aft end of the tubes which is a pain.
Of course the fullness of the tubes are also temperature dependent.
Thats all I can think of for now.
Despite the above bought mine for $8k and sold it 4 years later for $8k. It did have a new tube but that was paid for by someones insurance company (long story)
Hey I see you have a J100, great boat, raced on a friends here on Long Island Sound last year and loved it. I have owned several J Boats myself.

Great response. I did call the dealer on the zodiac to confirm the tubes were still manufactured and they are indeed which is huge.

I think that's the one I'm going for. It's local too which helps.

I actually sold our J100 last October. For a grand more than I bought her. Will go down in my boat owning history as the best boat ever. But we needed more room and are finalizing the survey and purchase of a little harbor 53'. Totally different animal but hopefully just as much fun for the family :-)
