Grenada Sailing Festival ~ Jan 28 - Feb 1

Grenada Sailing Festival: http://www.grenadasailingfestival.com/

LaSOURCE GRENADA SAILING FESTIVAL 2005 WILL BE TAKING PLACE;
FRIDAY, 28 JANUARY -TO- TUESDAY, 1 FEBRUARY.

After the devastating hit of Hurricane Ivan on Grenada, two good pieces of news are coming from the LaSource Grenada Sailing Festival:
- Firstly, it has been confirmed that the event will be taking place on its original dates of 28 January to 1 February 2005, and the organizers will be looking forward to welcoming entries from as many of its faithful Festival friends and supporters as possible.
- And secondly, the event will be joined by a new Premier Festival Sponsor, ComNav Marine Ltd., based in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.

The festival, first held in 1994, attracts sailing enthusiasts from around the world. It features a mix of racing craft, from international yachts to traditional wooden, bamboo-rigged workboats.

In 2004 the LaSource Grenada Sailing Festival was featured as one of the five top Caribbean Regattas in the prestigious American Yachting Magazine Sailing World, published in the yachting haven of Newport, Rhode Island. With this history, the Festival organizers have been determined to go ahead and stage its 2005 event as a very positive message from all in Grenada.
