Cutting the corner at Fort Wool from Little Creek to Norfolk (Chesapeake Bay)
Need some local knowledge. Coming from Little Creek to Norfolk harbor, can I cut the corner at Fort Wool instead of going all the way around Willoughby Bank? I draw 6', charts show 8' close to shore and 7' up to about 1/2 mile away, but never know in real life. Would shave 20 minutes or so off my travel time. Not worth the risk?
