Bahamas/Exumas in August

I read most people go to the Bahamas in the Winter. How are the Bahamas/Exumas in late August?

Hurricane season, be sure you can run for cover, otherwise, should be wonderful.

Hot, with lots of thunderstorms.

exumas in the summer is the greatest!!!!! very few boats, warm water and there's usually a breeze of 5-10 kts...you can always jump in the water to cool off (if you CAN cool off on 80 plus degree water)...hurricanes?---we've been in 6 but only 1 in the bahamas where we've been coming for 15 yrs...lots of hidey-holes and at least 3 hurricane-resistant marinas ( cave cay/sampson cay/compass cay)....do it...you'll love it...
