Bahamas Custom/Immigration question

I have been told that not all of the Bahamian customs/immigration offices provide the same maximum 9 month period for an individual.

Since I am seeking the max period, I am looking for offices that have shown a tendency to provide the longer time periods.

In addition I have been advised that there are offices to stay away from when seeking this maximum period.

thanks

Don't worry about this. It is easy to get an extension. Just go to another office.

Re: Bahamas Custom/Immigration question

Are you coming in by boat? If so, the cruising permit gets you in for a year. If you are talking about arriving by plane and entering as a tourist it's technically 90 days, but no one has ever asked how long we were there when we left. From time to time they get picky and only once in 15 years were we required to get an extension.
