Re: Considering Sailing Europe (Not sure where)

I did my first Med sailing for 3 weeks in June with a buddy on a 34' Crealock. We were harbor hopping on the water 8 days from near Marseilles, France to Alghero, Sardinia. We waited 2 or 3 days in port because of strong headwinds. Of the 8 days we were traveling, we had 3 days of 15-20 kts sailing and 3 days of motorsailing and 2 days of motoring. The port cities along southern France were like a dream to an American used to suburban cities. It was easy to get a slip in marinas in the center of the cities, except at Monaco, which was filled up.
